Just a quick review of a sample I was given of the new H. Upmann Legacy.  I won't muck about with a flowery intro...let's get right at it.
Construction: Beautiful in a word.  The new Sumatra wrapper is smooth and flawless with a lovely triple cap.
Pre-light Aroma and Draw: It's a light aroma out of the cello.  Slightly sweet tobacco.
Light and Burn: The light took two matches to start and one to finish it off.  Burn is early flawless.  I had one touchup torwards the end and it was very minor.
Tasting: The Legacy is not the most complex Sumatra on the market - see the Tatuaje Cojonu 2012 Sumatra for that - but it is a very elegant smooth and tasty smoke.  Loads of coffee and sweetness on the palette.  It starts off fairly mild and finishes closer to medium to full with a nice sweet pepper flavor.
Value: The going rate is around $6.50 for the Legacy.  A nice change of pace smoke when you don't want your socks knocked off.
Final Thoughts: I used to smoke Upmann cigars a lot way back when I first started smoking cigars.  They are very good smokes and this new offering is a nice addition to a very historic line.  Is it as good as the Cuban counterpart?  Not a fair question, as the number 2 from Cuba is my all-time favorite Cuban....but this new domestic version is worth a look.  Easily recommended.
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sumatra
Filler: Nicaragua/Dominican Republic
Size: 5 x 52
